Get Up and Go into 2018
Get up and Go into 2018 article is here! It is hard to believe that the New Year is upon us. I thought 2017 went by faster then I wanted it to but needed to. It was a challenging year for me and my family and I am looking forward to a New Year. However, looking back to all the trials I went through I believe 2017 was for a reason. We had emergency room visits, a fire in our home, a flood in our home, and a hurricane hit our home. My lovely little brick and mortar boutique could not withstand the pressures of the economy and different ways of shopping online. Then there were all the tiny circumstances that we all have that I had to overcome.
Reflecting back there was a lot of tears shed but my faith remand steadfast. There was not one time I said to myself, “What have I done to deserve this bad luck?” Instead I prayed more and my faith became stronger. I prayed more because I did not know what else to do. I looked to Jesus for guidance and peace because I had none. I could not do anything humanly possible to help myself. When looking back at this year’s profound circumstances and my season of darkness I am stronger, wiser, and more at peace than ever before.
I put my faith in the Lord because I was weak and received the strength I needed. I put my faith in the Lord because I felt broken and He made me whole again with peace. I put my faith in the Lord because I did not know where to turn. He gave me guidance and wisdom to keep going.
‘Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.’ –Philippians 4:6
For all that I am today I am because I did not give up when things got hard. I looked up and things became better. I am thankful because my Heavenly Father knew my circumstances before me. He taught me to have wisdom, strength, and peace to endure what life throws at me.
Celebrate and Be Blessed in 2018!
